Law Firm Supports Blue Bell, PA Charity for Area Cancer Patients

For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation (FPS) is a nonprofit organization located in Blue Bell, PA, that strengthens the hearts, minds and souls of young adult cancer patients and their caregivers by providing a one-week, all expenses paid travel excursion as a retreat from the unyielding physical and emotional demands of cancer and its treatment. FPS enables many young cancer patients from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware to experience a hopeful respite during their courageous battle. FPS provides families with vacation housing, and it absorbs all expenses related to the excursion, including travel costs, a limo ride to and from the airport, and passes to nearby theme parks or attractions. Each patient is also presented with an excursion basket that includes a generous stipend for the week, toiletries, robes, journals and pens, and a camera.
On “Flip Flop Friday,” The Martin Law Firm joined several area businesses to raise awareness and show support for the charity. Additionally, The Martin Law Firm is raising money to benefit For Pete’s Sake via its Facebook page. For each new person with a Facebook account who “likes” The Martin Law Firm page through October 1, 2011, the firm will donate $1.00 (up to a maximum of $500) to FPS.
